Terms of Service & Warranty Conditions

1. Introduction & Company Overview

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern all sales of restored amusement machinery, pinball machines, arcade equipment, spare components, and workshop services provided by Fruit Machine Parts Exchange Ltd ("the Company", "we", "us", or "our"), trading from India Buildings, Water Street, Liverpool, L2 0RD, United Kingdom.

By requesting an equipment quotation, submitting an online order reservation, or commissioning workshop servicing, you ("the Customer") agree to be legally bound by these Terms in full.

2. Domestic Recreation & Private Collector Status

All commercial-grade electro-mechanical reel machines, video amusement uprights, and pinball tables supplied by the Company are restored and configured exclusively for private domestic home enjoyment, personal collection, and recreational amusement.

Operation on Souvenir Brass Tokens / Free-Play: All reel amusement equipment is configured to operate on free-play push-buttons or supplied with non-monetary souvenir brass tokens. Under no circumstances do machines operate on legal tender currency or offer monetary payouts. Souvenir tokens carry zero commercial or financial redemption value.

The Customer acknowledges that equipment purchased from the Company is intended strictly for private residential use and must not be utilized for commercial wagering, public play, or unlicensed commercial venues.

3. Quotations, Invoicing & Order Process

Due to the unique collector nature, electrical testing requirements, and two-man logistics of commercial amusement equipment:

• The online catalog functions as an inventory display and quotation system. Submitting an order through the website does not create a binding financial transaction.
• Following submission, our workshop engineers evaluate property access and delivery distance to provide a formal written pro-forma specification invoice detailing carriage costs.
• Payment must be made via electronic bank transfer (BACS) or debit/credit card upon personal collection from our Liverpool showroom.

4. 12-Month Comprehensive Workshop Warranty

All fully restored amusement machines supplied by Fruit Machine Parts Exchange Ltd are backed by our 12-month return-to-workshop warranty commencing from the date of physical delivery:

• Covered Components: Power supply transformers, main processor logic boards, stepper reel motors, optical indexing sensors, sound amplification boards, and dot matrix / vacuum fluorescent displays.
• Warranty Service: We will repair or replace any defective component free of charge. Where feasible, replacement plug-and-play boards or sub-assemblies will be dispatched directly to the Customer with technical telephone guidance.
• Exclusions: Wear-and-tear items (incandescent bulbs, polyurethane flipper rubbers), damage arising from unapproved electrical modifications, fluid spillage, physical impacts, power surges, or unauthorized third-party repairs.

5. Two-Person White-Glove Delivery & Site Access

Commercial amusement machines are heavy, precision-engineered apparatus weighing between 90kg and 140kg. To prevent damage to both the equipment and the Customer's property:

• Deliveries are conducted by a dedicated two-man transport team equipped with protective stair-climbing apparatus.
• The Customer is solely responsible for verifying that external pathways, entrance doorways, hallways, and stairwells provide sufficient clearance (standard minimum doorway width: 75cm).
• If delivery cannot be completed due to undisclosed physical access restrictions or narrow turns, additional aborted delivery or re-routing charges may apply.

6. 14-Day Private Collector Return Privilege

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, private residential consumers purchasing equipment remotely have the right to cancel their order within 14 calendar days of delivery:

• The machine must remain in its original delivered condition, without modifications, cosmetic damage, or alterations to locks and wiring.
• The Customer is responsible for the direct cost of two-person white-glove return collection to our Liverpool workshop.
• Refunds will be processed via original payment method within 14 business days of workshop inspection and verification.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable English law, Fruit Machine Parts Exchange Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the equipment. Our aggregate liability arising in connection with any order shall not exceed the total price paid for the equipment.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and all disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any proceedings.
